Past AcademicsI have recently graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with my Bachelor of Arts in Honours Criminology and General Contemporary Studies. While doing my undergraduate degree I had also pursued ad achieved a minor in Law and Society as well as a minor in Human Rights and Diversity.
Throughout my university career I did a lot of volunteer work within the university community. I was on the Legal Resources Committee, a Volunteer Foot Patrol Officer, and helped with various other events on campus such as Diversity night and the Take Back the Night events. |
current educationWhile in university I volunteered at a law firm in my hometown and was eventually hired on as a junior law clerk. The experienced I had gained from drafting and preparing documents in that law firm lead me to pursue a career as a law clerk. As of current I am a student at Niagara College in the Law Clerk Co-op Program. Some of the courses I have completed are Family law, Real Estate Law, Credit Law, Litigation, and Estate Law. In doing so I have managed to achieve and maintain an honours standing grade level.
While being a student at Niagara College I have also given back to the Niagara community. I have volunteered at the Wine and Cheese event as well as the Decadence event. I hope to further and advance these volunteer opportunities within the year to come. |
future aspirationsWith regards to future plans, I intend on graduating from Niagara College with my Law Clerk Diploma and sufficient co-op work experience to start off my Law Clerk career. I fully intend on pursuing more and constantly updating my education geared towards my Law Clerk career by enrolling in the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario Program and completing the courses necessary to gain my certifications.
Areas of law that I would aspire to explore/specialize in as a Law Clerk would be Family Law, Litigation, Criminal Law, and Real Estate Law. After many years of being a Law Clerk I would like to explore the option of pursuing a career in the education field; becoming a Law Clerk College teacher. |
